





Hi, my name is Scott Turkington, and this is my cousin Charles Anderson. Charlie’s job in the alternative fuels industry of converting diesel engines to run on waste vegetable oil has taken us all over the world. With my camera in hand, we travel the globe in search of new locations and technologies in which to explore.
Whether we’re taking a 10,000 mile trans continental road trip on 100% pure vegetable oil, exploring the geothermal potential of a hot spring in Alaska or even addressing the first international plant oil congress in Germany, we often times find ourselves in strange and exotic places.

Charles Anderson
Charles Anderson was born and raised in Alaska. Although he didn’t realize it at the time, his childhood and early teen years were shaping and preparing him to become the leader in the SVO (Straight Vegetable Oil) industry. Over the many years spent tinkering with his grandfather on Diesel Engines in the garage his curiosity and respect for this often misunderstood engine grew.

Scott Turkington was born in the quaint fishing town of Homer Alaska. Growing up, Scott had no idea that the sense of adventure bestowed upon him by living in the “Last Frontier” would take him on so many amazing adventures later in life! Whether it was hiking to one of the many glaciers situated on Kachemak bay, or mountain biking a rugged trail carved out of the side of a mountain, there never seemed to be a limit on the amount of experiences one could have in this vast wilderness.
